Hello, my name is Ashley... who are you?

Well, you are slowly but surely getting to know me and my family, but we don't know you, yet. Who are you? What brings you to our blog? Are you a swimmer? A swim parent? A swimming fan? A wife? A mother? A blogger?

Please leave us a comment below this post or email us at everydayolympian@gmail.com to introduce yourself and help us get to know you so that we can continue to provide you with stories, information and posts that are relevant. What do you like to read? What do you want to know?

So, "hello, my name is Ashley... who are you?"

  1. Laura Ealy, traveling companion of Heather Knowles during the '08 Olympics. Interested in hearing Annabelle's swimming experiences thus far, and will you encourage her to follow in your AU Swimming & Diving footsteps?

  3. I am Lindsay and I am a freshman at Kent State University and I am interested in hearing more about Annabelle for sure and also, how do you balancing everything? I used to swim in high school and love taking pictures and writing as a photojournalism student in college right now. Anyway, I love your blog! Thanks.

  4. Hello Ashley- I am Cathy Durden. You may know me from your blog (see Sept 10 post ha!). Coach's wife, swim nerd, mom, swim fan. Love to hear your take on things. And I love your wit! I would love to hear more about how Mark balances swimming with being a dad. Has it changed his perspective at all? And I wouldn't mind hearing Daisy's perspective sometime. Keep up the good work.

  6. Jessica Lauzon-
A senior in high school and a distance swimmer. I heard about your blog in the Splash magazine (I'm pretty sure). Its really great to hear about the insides of an elite swimming family! I like Laura's opinion on wanting to know whether or not you will encourage Annabelle to be a swimmer. I also like hearing about the simple everyday things you guys do (which is good, because that's your point, right?). I think my favorite post was the one where your husband went to the dentist.
Best of luck for your endeavors!

  7. Hello Ashley, My name is Marie Reynolds. I knew you when you were in school at Mill Creek in little ole Columbia, MO. I drove a school bus and worked at the school during the day. My daughter told me about this site (Kristi Reynolds) and I just had to come and see - and now I am hooked on it. I love hearing all about the trials and tribulations that you face on a daily basis. I was watching a swim meet the other day on TV and was looking for your hubby, but he was not in this meet. I hope you don't mind me stalking your blog - you can stalk mine (reynoldsrap61@blogspot.com) but I am not as good as you on my updates.
